Are you a qualified teacher (any grade) or retired teacher who would like to share their skills with teachers in a village in Vanuatu?
We have opportunities for you to share your skills with teachers in the pretty coastal village of Port Olry on the island of Espiritu Santo; just 2.5 hours flight time from Brisbane.
Opportunities exist in kindy, primary and high school environments.
Duration: 7 days/ 6 nights (Tues - Mon).
Four days spent volunteering (one of those days is a stundent-free training day).
Tuesday: Arrive late afternoon. Accommodation at Turtle Bay Lodge
Wednesday: Arrive Port Olry early in the day. Welcome/ orientation in the morning. Meet with class/ teacher., then commence training.
Thursday: Training all day. Accommodation: Beach bungalows
Friday: Training all day.Accommodation: Beach bungalows
Saturday: Pupil free day. Focussed training and assessing newfound skills. Thank you ceremony. Accommodation: Beach bungalows.
Sunday: Sightseeing (blue hole visit, snorklling, kayaking/ stand up paddle boarding). Accommodation: Turtle Bay Lodge
Monday: Free day. Depart for Australia late afternoon.
COST: Au$1800 + GST

Applicants must hold a current Blue Card at the time of travel.
All volunteers must gain approval from the Vanuatu Government for undertaking this program. This allows you to legally participate in voluntering while in Vanuatu. We can facilitate this at no cost.
Trainee treachers who would like to gain practical expience in the field are also welcome to apply.
Knowledge of French helpful for some positions but is definately not necessary.
